OK, we're up and limping at the new site. Check out Ross Ruediger's monster new article, John Quixote:"Oops, I Got Fooled Again".
Ross really takes the episode apart and helps make sense of it all. Be warned, though, it's a four-part article, stuffed with details. I'm grateful he stepped up and volunteered, because I certainly didn't have time to do it myself!
I'm still tinkering and trying to figure out exactly how I want the site to look and to work, so it will be a while before all the old stuff gets put back up. I will continue to post new content frequently, though. If there is any old content you'd like access to, just send me an email and I will set you up with direct links.

Convention news... Creation Entertainment has CANCELLED the Las Vegas convention, according to an email they sent to their subscribers. No explanation was given. Folks who had already reserved seats will be refunded their money and will receive an autographed photo of Ben Browder by way of an apology. Click here for Creation's Convention Calendar.
FYI, the News & Updates page at the SCIFI Channel's Farscape page lists convention appearances by actor, but it hasn't been updated in ages.

Rumors
are circulating that Foxtel has replaced Nine
Network as a production partner of Farscape,
and that seasons 2 and 3 will be soon be airing in Australia on
Fox8. If that's true, it would be welcome news, as Fox8 already
showcases several popular genre shows. I was unable to find
anything on the web to substantiate this rumor. I'll keep
looking.
Update, 01 August 02: I'm pleased to report that the
rumor has been verified. I sent an email to the PR folks at
Foxtel, and Elizabeth Hunter forwarded their 25 July 02 press release
announcing the new arrangements. As of
the date of this posting, the press release has not been posted
to Foxtel's website yet, but it
should get up there eventually.

Did you know...
alt.tv.farscape
newsgroup regular Sorlk Lewis posted this
transcription of "The Rules" from the virtual reality
game in "John Quixote":
In farthest space beyond the knowing charts
The horrid Human and his band appear
And though they play today at different parts
The core of subtle truth beneath is clear,
The path of choice may draw you dark and deep,
Where flesh deformed doth keep the dream alive
And if the way your compass cannot keep,
Some pearls of wisdom to thee do I give --
Ha, this should do it! --
Your quest is for the princess fair to seek,
The one a Human's fleeting love did rend,
Bring forth the sword and through the darkness peek,
One loving kiss amends and there's an end,
And if we shades with taste do not agree,
A door of green shall set your senses free.
If all that has a familiar ring to it, it's just Ben
Browder reaching back to his Shakespearian training
from his days in London at the Central
School of Speech and Drama for
his inspiration. Mr. Browder definitely has a thing for the Bard;
the title of his season 3 episode, "Green Eyed
Monster," is taken from Iago's speech in Othello:
"O, beware, my lord, of jealousy; It is the green-eyed
monster which doth mock the meat it feeds on..."
While the form above is familiar, the words are entirely original
to Mr. Browder. Obviously he has nothing to worry about if this
acting gig doesn't work out.

Free Cool Stuff
Thanks
again to atf'er Sorlk Lewis for posting about
this: Gaming site 3DGamers has a major
demo of Simon & Schuster Interactive's upcoming Farscape
PC game available for download. You can
also access the download at BluesNews. It features
a movie introduction, a training level, and partial game
functionality that allows you to control Crichton or Chiana. I've
not downloaded yet. It clocks in at close to 64MB. I encourage
you gaming types to give it a try and let me know what you think.
Lou Charles of S&S Online Marketing confirms that the game will ship on August 13th.

The only real Recurring Character in this episode was Alyssa-Jane Cooke's Gilina, who previously appeared in "PK Tech Girl", "Nerve", and "The Hidden Memory". However, it was delightful to see the return of former (and perhaps future?) regulars Stark (Paul Goddard), Zhaan (Virginia Hey), and Crais (Lani Tupu).
Here's a question: should we count newcomer in front of the camera Rowan Woods as a Repeat Performer? He has directed a number of episodes, most notably "Won't Get Fooled Again". Note: I went with a "yes", it just seemed like the right thing to do.

8/02 I Shrink Therefore I Am
8/09 TBD - new
8/16 TBD - new
8/23 Unrealized Reality - new
Titles have been announced on some other websites, but until I see them on SciFi, they're not official. If you're curious, I think the excellent webMasters at FarscapeWorld have the TV Guide-style blurbs on these episodes:
Expectations are that there will be no new episode the weekend of 8/30, Labor Day Weekend. SCIFI traditionally runs movies that entire weekend. What remains to be seen is whether 8/23 will be the last new episode until NEXT YEAR, or whether we'll get some more new episodes before then. "Unrealized Reality" will bring us up to 4.11, meaning there are 11 more new episodes in Season 4. Typically, SCIFI holds back four to show before a brief (one month) hiatus before the new season. Unfortunately, we have no idea when S5 is going to start! At any rate, that leaves SCIFI 7 episodes that they could broadcast in September, November, and next year; October and December they historically schedule mini-series and movies.
I'll do my best to get scheduling info to you as soon as possible.
