the year in review

I spent way too much time today reviewing 2004.

Ouch.

So much pain, so many different kinds of pain. Lots of hope and love, too, and a lot of good times, but it seems that always there was that undercurrent.

It's hard to stay optimistic having reviewed all that. Still, I have hopes that 2005 will be better. No real reason to believe that it will be, just hope.
